The dramatic relegation of Jennifer Eccles from first to second in today's action-packed Taupo Pak'n Save Fillies 1100 has her big team of owners only looking forward.
The overwhelming feedback I've had from her group of owners is to cop today's disappointment and look ahead with the knowledge that we have a very exciting filly talent. Jennifer Eccles wll be back for the Gold Trial Stakes-Gr.3 (1200m) at Hastings in three weeks time.
Shaune Ritchie & I have mapped out a programme for the Rip Van Winkle three-year-old filly with a key focus being the 1000 Guineas-Gr.1 at Riccarton Park in November.
Jennifer Eccles is owned & raced by the Challenge No.10 Syndicate who also had Cinzento (Dalghar) running at Hastings today. Offering a Fixed Odds price of 50 to 1, the filly almost pulled off the Special Conditions Maiden, finishing the closest of thirds after bursting clear half-way down the straight.
